Temperatures are looking high, as is the humidity and today's looking to be a challenging summer day.
According to the discomfort index, the mornings are starting off at a level in the lower 80s, only to climb to the mid-80s during the day, one notch short of the highest discomfort level. The second day of August is looking at a hot and damp afternoon in Korea with highs looking to range between 28 - 34 degrees.
Let's start with today's conditions - Lots of fog on the ground this morning, and the central region already saw some light rain. More IS predicted to fall. The central region has a 40 to 60% chance of rain throughout the morning, AND the eastern region and Chungcheong provinces have a 40% chance of sudden showers with thunder and lightening also expected for both the east and west coasts. A few things more things to watch out for. There is a heavy rain advisory in Northern Gyeonggi province and parts of Gangwon province, with 30 to 70 mm to fall by the end of the day. In addition, the southern coast of Jeju has a strong wind and wave advisory, the indirect effects of typhoon U-sa-gi that's south of Japan.

More indirect effects of the 5th named typhoon of the season, U-sagi, are to be felt in the coming days. More rain is in the forecast for the central and eastern region for Friday but highs continue to be unaffected, holding steady between 27 to 33 degrees.
